YOUNG MOVE-ICIANS

Young Move-icians is a newly established music school offering children in Years 1 and 2 the opportunity to learn about the joys of music-making in an after-school setting.

Held at the Salvation Army Church Hall, Sythwood, Woking, Amy’s teaching focusses on the principles established by Zoltan Kodaly and Emile-Jacques Dalcroze. Children, in groups of no more than 15, will be taught the basic building blocks of music: pitch, rhythm, phrasing, structure, melody and harmony through singing and natural movement. ‘Props’ will also underpin their musical learning in a fun, colourful and imaginative way, helping to develop the whole musical child.
